I don't know how recent this story is, but it is recently found, so that makes it eligible to be here.

So, a 55 year old guy drinks too much, gets into his car and manages to take it off-road. He gets out of his car, climbs out of the ditch he drove it into, steps onto the highway, and procedes to get whacked by his 43 year old wife, also drunk and behind the wheel.

This story is so full of fail that I want to believe that it is made up, but knowing better than to underestimate basic human stupidity, especially in the presence of alcohol, I'm going to take a leap of faith here and assume this story to be true.

Damn, I wonder what their insurance bills are gonna be like when they get their licenses back - assuming the elder of the couple survived the impact - it doesn't really say. Maybe they should talk to the guy from Ohio about getting a motorized bar stool - or better still, maybe he can hook them up with a motorized love seat, so we've only got to worry about one of these maniacs being behind the wheel...
