In Gainsville, FL, over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the Florida Highway Patrol set up a checkpoint to catch people driving while intoxicated. We at LetzGoOut.com and BarLOLz are strongly opposed to the practice of driving while intoxicated, and while this does occasionally provide us with some material for this blog, our coverage of it is always intended to point out that these people are idiots. So, it is with mixed feelings that we cover this event in Florida. I can certainly appreciate the intent of a checkpoint as a means to prevent people from driving while intoxicated, but my libertarian side has this nagging concern that this is a clear violation of "innocent until proven guilty" and completely lacks...

Another night of drinking sends things from bad to worse... This time, our hero hails from Terre Haute, Indiana. Apparently, some time around 5am, an excellent time for things like this to happen, it would seem, our hero overturns his vehicle. For reasons unknown to this commentator and blogger, our hero thought to rectify the situation himself. Perhaps if you're drunk, you crash your car, and somehow find a way to get your vehicle home safely without police involvement, anything will seem like a good idea.
